This whole motherhood lark is harder than it looks! Even the smallest tasks seem to generate an inordinate amount of mess that then needs to be cleared up!
Luckily, Lady Rachel is keeping me company while I do my various chores, gurgling softly from her bouncy chair - although she has recently discovered shouting, and worryingly enough, she seems to like it! Am doing my best not to react to much to it, as don't want her to think it is the best way of getting my attention, but it's hard....
She has generally been pretty good for the past few days - if a little wobbly on the going to bed at night front. I read somewhere that when a baby that previously slept through suddenly starts waking up hungry during the night, it can actually be a sign that they need to have less feeds during the day, so that they can 'tank up' more. I have therefore moved her from a 3-hour to 4-hour feeding schedule during the day, which seems to be working, although she is a lot harder to distract now when it gets to that last hour....
