This whole motherhood lark is harder than it looks! Even the smallest tasks seem to generate an inordinate amount of mess that then needs to be cleared up!
Luckily, Lady Rachel is keeping me company while I do my various chores, gurgling softly from her bouncy chair - although she has recently discovered shouting, and worryingly enough, she seems to like it! Am doing my best not to react to much to it, as don't want her to think it is the best way of getting my attention, but it's hard....
She has generally been pretty good for the past few days - if a little wobbly on the going to bed at night front. I read somewhere that when a baby that previously slept through suddenly starts waking up hungry during the night, it can actually be a sign that they need to have less feeds during the day, so that they can 'tank up' more. I have therefore moved her from a 3-hour to 4-hour feeding schedule during the day, which seems to be working, although she is a lot harder to distract now when it gets to that last hour....

Twice in two days! I'm on a roll.....
We had a trip to the doctor's surgery today - Rachie had her next installment of jabs, and I must say that she behaved an awful lot better than last time. Just a little squeal during the injection itself, and then calmed down by the time her trousers were on!
I capitalised on her good behaviour and took her to see the Health Visitor to be weighed, and guess what! 13lb exactly! She has almost caught up with Baby Zachary, who had previously overtaken her, so well done Fat Pants!
As promised, photos are now up in Rachel's Gallery, I'll try to put more up as they're taken.

So, 13 weeks and 3 days in and I finally get around to putting something up here - although to be fair, our internet connection was down for 19 days of that (Orange having very kindly given us a free upgrade of our service to...er....no service at all!)
Anyway, enough of that grumbling, this is just to get the ball rolling and break my duck - to those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting our little Skippy (also known as Rachel), this picture really sums her up:

Well my goodness, I am now 11 days overdue and STILL no sign of our baby! Well, that's not quite true - things seem to be moving in the right direction at least, I have had 24 hours of very mild, irregular contractions so am hoping that within the next day or so things will kick off properly.
Anyway, I really hope they do, otherwise I am booked in for induction at Homerton Hospital on Saturday morning - so come on Skippy, pull your finger out!

So, here we are, 2 days until the due date and no sign of our baby! I never realised quite how emotionally draining it would be to be constantly wondering if the slightest twinge is the sign of impending labour...
Will keep you informed!
